This Just Came In! Michael Died From Propofol!
Michael Jackson passed away because of lethal levels of the anesthetic propofol, according to a search warrant affidavit obtained by the Los Angeles Times.
In the warrant, which was unsealed in Houston, Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray told the LAPD that he had given Jackson numerous sedatives on the day he died, but none worked. Murray then gave Jackson a dose of propofol. The records also revealed Murray had been treating Jackson for insomnia for six weeks prior to his death.
According to the records obtained by the Times, Murray told investigators that he had been giving Jackson 50 milligrams of propofol each night during the six-week periods, but then grew worried that Jackson was forming an addiction to the powerful anesthetic and began trying wean Jackson off the drug.
Murray began giving Jackson two different sedatives, lorazepam and midazolam and lowered the doses of propofol to 25 milligrams, according to the warrant.
Jackson died on June 25 at the age of 50.
